A Very Special and Exclusive Invitation....
As Fred's widow, I am very proud to announce my happiness with Jan & Leon Powsney the new owners of my late husband's house and workshops in Bolton. After Fred passed away in November 2004, an ongoing legal battle ensured because of the way Fred had left his affairs. Consequently, theproperty was sold in October 2008. This resulted in uncertainty about the possibility of the workshops being preserved and fear of Fred's legacy left in limbo. No-one knew what was going to happen to his collection of steam artifacts built up over a lifetime.

Due to lack of official planning permission at this time and the project not yet receiving registered charity status Sheila Dibnah and her representatives are advising she will only consider attending any events at the Bolton property as a none profit making guest once planning permission for the property is granted and the project has received charitable status. Sheila Dibnah will not be actively associating her name or that of her late husband Fred Dibnah with any fund raising efforts or campaigns until these matters are clarified. Sheila would like to thank Leon and Jan for their constant support while they fettle the Yard!
