'Fred Talks' The History...

With Fred's ethos in mind, Sheila has tried to apply these same tactics to her own stage presentations, and the formula is based upon his own attitude to an audience.
To be entertaining at a small or large gathering, approachable and making sure people always leave with a smile on their face.

Leaving The Bolton School of Art & Design in 1974, whilst studying dancing and working on the catwalk for the celebrated Lucy Clayton Modelling Agency in Manchester, Sheila started her stage career in 1977 as a hypnotist stage & PR assistant with Master Hypnotist Peter Casson.
Travelling extensively through Europe and as far as North Africa and America for several years with the show, Sheila gained much insight and a professional approach to the entertainment industry, made many friends
and today is still known affectionately to illusionist Paul Daniels as Mad Ethyl!!!

After going on to work with two other international stage hypnotists, Andrew Newton and later Edwin Heath, she started work as a showgirl in Switzerland and formed her own cabaret illusionist act Duo Magicana with partner Les Brown touring through top cities in Europe including Berlin, Rome, Geneva, Zurich and London.

Sheila later took up singing, studying with professional voice coach Tanya Lawrence, and consequently appeared in cabaret at Blackpool's famous Horseshoe Club nightspot at the Pleasure Beach. She has previously worked as an entertainer for The Cunard Line (Q.E.2) and the Fred Olsen Line (The Black Watch) and now, currently working solo, she concentrates on presenting her show 'A Night of Fred Dibnah' in memory of her famous late husband.
